A note to the future.
From March 10, 2022 to March 24, 2022, visitors to the Social STUDIO created ceramic tiles with messages for Sheboygan, Wisconsin, inhabitants in the year 2222. After visiting the exhibition Lee Hunter: Cosmogenesis with artist Lee Hunter to gather inspiration, people then stamped and carved a message into a ceramic tile that will be buried together in a time capsule. The photo shows a few tiles that are finished.
Inspired by the Lee’s work and tile making project, we encourage you to grab out your favorite sketchbook material and use words and images to capture your answer to the question, “What kind of message do you want to share with people in Sheboygan 200 years from now?”
